The Galloway breed is noted for its ability to finish on a grass diet without any grain.
Our grass fed cattle are true lifetime grass fed animals. They consume a natural diet of mother’s milk as a calf and after that only pasture and hay forages. They are never fed grains during any part of their life. This natural lifetime forage diet is essential to achieve high levels of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and omega 3 fatty acids in the meat.

Lower in total fat (as low as 3% fat content) and lower in cholesterol and saturated fat. This also means Galloway grass fed beef has up to 55% fewer calories and a higher protein content because there is more meat and less fat in each cut compared to regular or organic grain fed beef.

Up to 4 times higher in omega 3 and with an ideal and healthy omega 3: omega 6 ratio of 1:3. Grain fed beef has high (and undesirable) levels of omega 6.

Three to five times higher levels of CLA which is a potent anti-cancer nutrient. The levels of CLA drops sharply when grain is fed to cattle and it never fully recovers. This is why it is important to know that your beef is a true lifetime grass fed beef and not just a part-time grass fed beef.

About 4 times higher in vitamin E and also higher in vitamin A and C and betacarotene and in B vitamins thiamin and riboflavin.

Healthier and lower in fat than chicken with skin removed.
